Okay, everyone -- to make a long story short, it seems that many of your signatures are starting to get a little bit too big for our liking. We can understand the need to express yourself by having many images of your favorite bishies and many lines of your favorite song lyrics and so on and so forth, but when we find ourselves having to scroll through more pages of signature than actual post, it gets to be rather burdensome.

So, we are going to now put a restriction on the height of your signatures and ask for them to be no more than around 600 pixels -- or about half the height of your browser window (assuming it takes up the whole screen), if you use a larger than 800*600 resolution. Basically, no bigger than about this size:

We'll give you all about a week or so to get your sigs cleaned up a little bit; I know it'll be tough to decide what should go. But after that, we'll start PMing you with the request to clean it up -- or we'll do it for you.

*wipes tear from eye* Thank you, thank you. You don't know how happy this post has made me. (However, this does put a crimp in my plans to parody those types of GREAT WHACKING LONG SERIES OF IMAGES sigs, but it's a small price to pay for cutting down on the about 1:5 post-to-sig ratio.)

And I will keep and eye out on my sig....shall it ever exceed your limits, I will rightfully punish it and put it in its proper place and proportions.

How do you get the sinature that long? (i dont know how to put pictures on here for my signature..that may be how....can someone help me out?)

It's not necessary to have a big, wide signature. If you want to put pictures in your signature, make sure they're not too large (resize!). Upload the image (don't hotlink; nobody likes hotlinking) to a place like Photobucket or TinyPic, and then copy and paste the URL into your signature between:

[ img]INSERT URL[ /img]

Take out the spaces, though.

OK i know im getting annoyed and i dont blame you if you ignore me and dont reply. but this is what comes up whenever i do it..."Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed"

If you don't have a photobucket.com account, I advise you get one. They are helpful in so many ways and they are FREE.

If you DO have one:

Just copy and past the [IMG] code into the box that lets you edit your sig.
